Nope , just a lot more start and stops for pee breaks!

Got it. I looked on Macs site for pics of an installed unit and wasn't successful.
Anyone have a pic of the cowl/ cabin filter portion?

Lol. I'll have to look some day.
The macs is a cleaner look than the Windstar method I used. I'm not a chrome fan though unless it is a vintage vehicle.

Greg - When you installed did you do the whole "Drive it like you stole it" for the first 50 starts.
Just so far removed from my driving style, wondering how necessary it is.

Is that what the directions tell you to do?

Yes , the directions tell you to whip your rig...

Hmmm would you wager to guess that is why I'm not seeing much gain from the windstar setup??
And for 50 starts that a lot O' Whippin!

Well, that is why I asked Greg.  His MPG improvement is among the best I have seen yet he did not follow the directions in this case.  THe instructions, with further clarification from Mac, say to get as much cold air down the tube as possible during those 50 start ups by going wide open throttle when you can.  "Drive it like you stole it".

I drove it about the same as before. I may have stayed in it a little longer in second and third but I by no means whipped it.
