The youtube or vimeo features work in a similar manner to the pictures but the icons are above.

So far so good right? Next up is to cut the URL from youtube or vimeo to post inside the box.

G mentioned issues posting Flickr pictars.  Using the info he provided, well, one thing lead to another.  And whaddayaknow?  Just the right tidbits fell in place.

Here is at least one of the issues posting pictars.  If the "physical" dimensions are too large, they break the site template.  Therefore the upload will fail, or an embed will result in a white page.  This answer was derived directly from the issue @janesy experienced.  Here is the solution, at least when posting from Booger Flickr.  [See attachment, red box]

Choose the pic size where the largest dimension is 500px or less.  Then it's the copy and paste thing as you'd expect.  [Proof of concept, next post]

For attachments, resizing using an editor will be necessary if they are oversize.  Since these are being uploaded to the JO server some resizing is performed automatically.  Therefore the fail threshold is larger.  I haven't determined the precise threshold.  The suspicion is it's around 1000 - 1200 px for the largest dimension.  Manual resizing may be a slight inconvenience.  The bonus is resizing generates smaller file sizes.  This, in turn, means faster uploads for you.  That can be great news if you're on a mobile or dicey connection.

Pictar resizing can be done using Photochop, Gimp, or some other free software downloaded from the net.  For mobile devices there are a number of apps available for photo editing.
