Penrose, CO 5/19/16
Thursday I took the Jeep down to Penrose to run Indy and Patriot. I had run Patriot 3 years ago, but never Indy. Indy had some fun off-camber and steep drops going down that made for a pucker factor. Good stuff.

Patriot was a lot tougher than I remember it. The rain earlier this week didn't help either, as the holes were all pretty wet making the rocks a bit slick. I had to pull cable a few times in the trail but still overall had a really good time!

Coming down Independence. Rear end was getting pretty light on a few of the drops.

I try to do something every day I have off, be it Jeeping, hiking or just a drive into the hills. Even the day's I work I can often get a run or short hike in on a nearby trail since I work 6-2:30 and I'm home by 3 o'clock.

This trail is about a half hour from my house. I've never had the machine or intestinal fortitude to try it though. Nice rig!
Long hair, short hair, ain't no difference once the heads blown off.

GoPro audio is pretty bad too, I hope you can hear it in person soon...

Thank you, I wouldn't say it made it look easy. I'd like to go back with some more rigs and someone to spot. I think when it's dry I can drive the trail without a winch with the right lines. I didn't even have a winch mounted on my rig when I ran the trail 3 years ago!

Nice, have you run Liberty or Freedom? Liberty is a challenge but not too terribly tough. I went down Liberty and up Patriot before, this time I went down Indy to Patriot, much more difficult trail.
