Holaday's Jeep Journey
When I was 15 I owned a 4 cyl YJ and later a ZJ with a BB and a rear Detroit in the Dana 35.  They were sold to buy a truck for my lawn company, and I have been itching to get back into one ever since.

With a kid on the way I talked the wife into letting me get a Commander.  It was a fun little build, skids, lift, mud tires, and wheeled it for a few months.

After tearing up the bumpers doors, my wife gave me the go ahead to get a fun only Jeep.  I found one from a local club member for a great price, but in hind sight I should have started with a blank slate.  2.5 years in now and the only parts from the Jeep is the rear 44 housing and the transfer case.

First set of wheels

Picked up an ARB for the rear. This was a huge upgrade over the open rear,

With no front sway bar it was terrible off camber, so I put on a front Anti-rock.

Swapped the stock steering for the Rock Krawler settup.  In hind sight I should have gotten the Currie steering or made my own.

Swapped in a Savvy GTS.  Overall impression was great, it tucked it up farther and I have only been able to put in one major dent.

Got rid of the hacked up Shitty Built bumper for the Savvy bumper.  Both corners are trashed and Gerald is going to replace it.  Not quite as durrable as a figured.

I had been fighting with DW since I bought the Jeep, and this was the cure.

Dropped the home made tire carrier for a Genright stinger.  Hindsight on this I wish I would have done the tub mounted swing away.

Added a hood louver

The Shittybuilt armor was rusting and I didnt like how wide the flares were.  Swapped the fronts to zero flare aluminum Genrights, and rear Savvys.

Wheel Transition 2

All done and the rub rails added.

I almost stopped here and just wheeled it, but it is hard to stop.

broke a front axle and upgraded to Ten Factories.  Also upgraded the rear to Alloy USAs.

It was all down hill from here

I loved the Krawlers, but looking back at how much they cost me, not worth it.

R&P 1

Ordered a HP 30 through ECGS and modified the Rock Krawler settup for High Steer using a TF knuckle

One of the best things I have ever bought for the Jeep

Second R&P

Wheel/Tire ADD continues

Broke a 3rd and final R&P and gave up.

Switched to 35 inch Procomp MT2s on Method Beadlocks.

Skipped a bunch of little stuff, but all that is left is a stretch and I will be done... Maybe.  Looking forward to the new forum, thanks for letting me in

Thanks guys.  Art, you may be right.  Now that I have a proper tow rig I can venture out of Missouri too.

Thanks Man!

Jeep U[pdate:
After reading Nate's thread for the 100th time, I made my first purchase toward the stretch. (besides the welder)

Sill a lot to get together, but I am commited now.  I will sell the Savvy corners and GTS and use Moab Fab corners and whatever Genright stretch tank I can find on Pirate for cheap.
Hind sight, I should not have mounted my rear Antirock yet, but maybe Lu can chime in on what he did with his.

Also got new gears and install so I can get 1 more trip in before starting teardown.
