F&F Fathers Day weekend

Rented F&F this past weekend with my local club and had a handful of other friends tag along. A bunch of the guys in my club had not been up there for at least 5+ years, so they were in for a treat. We hit the road Friday and were up there early afternoon. Set up camp and by the time we were ready to hit the trails it was getting dark. They allow for wheelin' until midnight, so we had a few hours to play around.

I have to sort through pictures and will edit the other posts, just wanted to save the spots.

Lake Trail at night.

Easy Street. This is one of the easier red trails which we ran on Saturday afternoon.

Hoping someone got pics or video of me on the exit. It?s pretty crazy, more so in person, and I never thought I?d make it. Apparently one of a couple leaf spring rigs on leafs to make it. But all due to the dry weather/hero traction and a good spotter.

Sucker Punch.

This red trail is pretty nuts. My rig was already down for the count but without sticky tires I didn?t have any business running it and it was already after noon on Sunday anyway, so I walked along and spotted the two rigs when needed.

More Sucker Punch. As with all these pics, none are done any justice. This place is insane. Especially the climb in the last couple pics. But with the dry weather traction was awesome as it?s not an easy climb to make, never mind as easy as they made it. Video to come.

All in all, great weekend and really impressed with the rig. I have a couple things to fix now before I get back on the trails.

Got the tie rod (behind axle setup) just up into the oil pan for it to sound like she?s knocking.

Also one of the front passenger spring perch bolts that thread into the housing got loose and threads are f?d up, so looks like I?ll have to drill and tap for the next size up and use studs, as well as adding a third stud.

are you going to need a new oil pan? You planning on going to the July 4th event?

Some day I'd like to run these trails, just need a set of stickies first.

As for the oil pan, probably could just pull out the minor dent, but will probably just pick a new one up and I'll look into reinforcing it a bit or whip up a skid.

I'd like to go to the July event, but not sure I'll have the time to get the rig ready and not sure what the wife is taking off for time that week. So highly unlikely.

You going?

Can't wheel on the weekend but I'm hoping to take Friday off to at least get one day up there

If anything I wouldn?t get to head up til Friday night. But I don?t think I?ll have the time to really go over the rig so I?ll just sit this one out. Def looking to get up there in the fall.
