Does anyone have any experience with the Stinger Heigh10 in a JK? I’m probably going to pull the trigger on a new head unit soon, and this has my attention. The Joying floating screen option for something similar is more than I want to spend on a “generic” Android-based head unit, as much as I loved it in the LJ. And the Stinger isn’t cheap, but I like the integration to the point where it can offer JL-like off-road pages. Online reviews seem largely positive with some real outliers...
Yea, that. 99 xj 4.0 is stalling, sometimes at Idle, before it gets warmed up good. Idle is sometimes rough but usually fine. Get out in the road, hit the gas and "pluh".... Just stalls. RPMs drop. won't go. Then suddenly as if being kicked in the rear, it takes off and doesn't do it again. No codes. I've been searching for vacuum leaks but can't find one. Not to say that's not happening; just can't find it. ideas?
Thread 'A moderate Gladiator that needs to be paid off'
I figured I'd start this to keep it out of my TJ thread. It's definitely not getting anything crazy until it's paid off. I picked it up a couple of weeks ago and have added a tonneau and the Rubicon take off rock rails - both on fb marketplace (tonneau was $100, rails were $50). It's a 2020 Sport w/45k miles, with the max tow package and a decent set of options with power windows, heated seats & steering wheel and the 7" screen. Not sure if I'll go to 33s from someone's take offs or go...
Forgive my ignorance... YEARS ago; I put ceramic brake pads on the front of my car and they made the ABS act up. The thing almost wouldn't stop in low speed situations, like being in a parking lot, because the ABS immediately kicked in and started pulsing. After going back and forth with the parts house about the lifetime warranty; I put the regular ones on it, everything went to normal and I haven't touched ceramic pads since (that I know of). So, fast forward about 20yrs and I'm going to...
Thread 'Bought, Not Built JKUR JK350'
So, it’s home, registered, and inspected, so guess it’s time to start my thread. Last week I picked up a 2015 JKUR in Billet Silver, with a shop-built AEV JK350 package. It’s a loaded Rubicon with 28k miles. The story is that the first owner was the owner of a few dealerships and an off-road shop, and he had them build a JK350 to show what they could offer customers. In addition to the AEV kit, it’s got Truck Lites, dual Optima yellow tops, a twin ARB compressor and a SwitchPod. The second...
Thread '2001 TJ Farm jeep'
We're back with another episode of I'm an idiot. Welcome to yet another project, hopefully less intensive this time. 01 4.0, 3 speed auto, 77k miles. It's spent most of it's life sitting around on a farm, getting driven occasionally around town. It's quite dusty and dirty but I'm not seeing any rust concerns yet. Some interesting mods done to it, including some type of aftermarket hard top, an old skyjacker 2.5 lift, and the real kicker... What looks to be a set of early G2 Dana 44...
Thread 'New to me TJ '
Ok here goes.... I am new to the site and always enjoy others builds  so I figured why not post some of my own ramblings! I paid way too much for this jeep (from family) but otherwise was a smokin price. Stock as can be minus the 31" BFG all terrain tires. 60th anniversary, 4.0, 5 speed even has the Dana 44 rear! I did the whole buggy thing and this jeep will be a streetable yet capable rig that I can drive to and from wherever I point it.
Thread 'All your Rubicons are belong to us! '
Hey guys!  Well this will likely be short and sweet as I don't keep a jeep around for long - and I really don't care for this one so maybe sooner rather than later.. Anywho, Ive done several LCG TJ's in a row - 35's on 3" or under.  This one is NOT going to be high lined, and be a bit milder.  04 with 120k on it, 5 speed.  Had rust on the front fenders and a smidge under the tailgate, otherwise fairly clean.  A good 5-10 footer. I bought it looking like this: It had bumpers, winch...
Thread 'Male Delivery JKU'
So here’s the story. Customer brings in this 2014 JKU Sport for mechanical repairs. It needed a FAIR AMOUNT of work, customer said can he park it here and think about it over the holidays. Well the agreement was had , I sale the hardtop give him the money I make off it and the Jeep is mine. So technically a Free JKU. Biggest needed repairs are Radiator is cracked, VC Gaskets NASTY LEAK, and oil filter housing is POURING. Other than that it’s just worn out suspension stuff and tires will...
Thread 'Bty34 TJ Build'
The beginning of this is copied from my existing build on JeepForum, but I thought it might be worthwhile background. I have various pictures of things before the frame swap if anyone is interested, just ask. A little backstory, purchased the Jeep back in 2004, was a salvage rebuild. As of 2012, the Jeep has made it to this. If anyone has any questions about anything in between, let me know, but most of it is normal stuff so I will skip it for now. Back in the fall of 2011, I...
