An enjoyable day and a halfish in the woods campin and keeping. More to explore come this fall or next spring. Started in Jocasse Wilderness Area. Visited the newly built tower on Mt. Sassafrass with nearly 360? views. Made our way to Musterland OHV rd to find that it was only open during hunting season. Went to White Water Falls and then to Gorges Sate Park via Grassy Rd. Found our way to Horsepasture river to find another gate... :'( so we camped next to the water 6.7 miles in. Cleared a big fallen tree mess along the way too. Made our way out and parted ways. I went back to JWA and found a 3.6 mile trail I didn't notice before. Dead end. Nothing spectacular. Ran Horsepasture rd where we had camped the first night. 9.4 miles to the seasonally closed gate. Scouted some camp sites an headed home. An enjoyable time out and about. Good company and a bit of adventure.
