Albeit a dreary day, we struck out on a forest loop. We met in Lenoir, trekked through Blowing Rock, down Globe Rd, up Brown Mtn Beach Rd, by Linville Falls, down old Hwy 105 Marion. We made an extension on I40 to Black Man for dinner, then returned home over normal highways. Here are more details in pix:
