    Bought, Not Built JKUR JK350

A couple of minor cosmetic items recently. I replaced the chrome grille badge with a matte black one. I picked up a ZR2 Bison tailgate emblem to put on the back. And finally, and most importantly, I was able to track down some quality replicas of the AEV cowl decal to replace the one...

    Bought, Not Built JKUR JK350

I got the Kuat Pivot V2 swing-away converter on with my Sherpa rack in anticipation of trying to squeeze in a quick trail ride in the morning. The thing is perfect for what I need. Edit: Got the first ride in. Nice to have everything just work.

    2BRITE - TexasTJ’s Hypergreen JKUR

Both? I’d definitely say my preference is trail, and that’s the primary use for my rack. But last year I picked up a gravel bike to commute on, which came in handy for the 6 weeks I couldn’t drive the Range Rover last summer. Mostly I commute to improve my fitness for mountain biking.

    2BRITE - TexasTJ’s Hypergreen JKUR

Great minds… I just picked up a Kuat Pivot V2 off Marketplace last night so I can fit my rack. Looks great.

    Ruffy the LJ

Ruffy looks so good! The TJ front end with the filled fender and grille-mounted directional is such a good look.

I really wanted to like the Stinger. The idea off recreating the JL Off-Road Pages was really cool. But the lower screen resolution and no wireless CarPlay for a lot more money just didn’t make sense. I need to order the cameras. Their front and rear cameras get good reviews, and the head...

    Bought, Not Built JKUR JK350

Posted in another thread, but I wanted to document it here. I tried to put off another major purchase, but the factory head unit had to go. I ended up going with Joying’s flagship… They have a universal one and ones that are tailored to specific makes and models. I got the right one for the...

Nicely done. JKs are a really good value right now. Love the can’t-miss color.

    Stinger Stereo Experience

Ended up getting it in after work today. It’s Joying’s flagship, super snappy, with impressive specs and processor, and the screen is fantastic. It’s an 11.6” screen at 1920x1080, the smallest at that resolution. They also have them with 13.3” & 15.1” screens. It came with a CANBUS adapter and a...

    Stinger Stereo Experience

I couldn’t justify the cost for such a low-res display. I ended up getting the 11.6” Joying. I won’t get to the install until this weekend, but at 60% of the cost, 20% bigger and almost double the resolution, plus wireless CarPlay, I figured I’d give it a go. I’ll post installed pics and...

    Stinger Stereo Experience

Does anyone have any experience with the Stinger Heigh10 in a JK? I’m probably going to pull the trigger on a new head unit soon, and this has my attention. The Joying floating screen option for something similar is more than I want to spend on a “generic” Android-based head unit, as much as I...

    Facebook Marketplace Deals.

@green50gt sorry these aren’t closer. I tried to come up with a reason I’d need them and I can’t. And I’m not sure I can sell a 4 hr round trip to my wife. https://www.facebook.com/share/NUySg2avrh259jro/?mibextid=79PoIi

    Bought, Not Built JKUR JK350

Pretty psyched to check the one big thing off the list this quickly. The steps looked horrible, were rusty and missing bolts. Can’t believe I found NOS Recon sliders. I know these were stupid expensive to replace, and I’m pretty sure they weren’t offered, or if they were, they weren’t very...

1991 Range Rover Classic or My Foray Into Madness

LIkely the last post in this thread… The buyer from last fall finally was able to grab the parts RRC. 3 of the 4 brakes were locked up, so it did no favors to my lawn. But it’s gone!

I love to work on them, but time and resources are limited. And we’re way behind in my dad’s ‘62 Willys pickup. So to have something at book for a stock vehicle with everything I would choose to do already done (as an admitted AEV fan boy)? While saving thousands? Every time!
