Rubicon Trail

Anyone on here been? Any suggestions for planning a trip out there? My wife is from California and it would be easier to sell the Rubicon if part of the trip was visiting family.

Been to the trailhead and all around the area but I have yet to run the trail. When are y?all thinking of going?

Just got back from the trail last week. Ran it from Loon all the way thru to SLT. Rained on us, then snowed on us 2 of the 3 days we were on the trail. We took the RV and stayed just south of Tahoe City at William Kent SP. Drove to Loon from there so we could exit the trail and only be a few miles from base camp. Worked out pretty well. They are doing work on Loon Lake campground, so camping there is not an option right now.

I don't recommend running it in the rain, and definitely not in the snow, lol!  [nailbite]
