2017 Teryx 4 "The Wifes" (Shhh)

A lot of updates on this coming... been out riding the past few weekends with the teryx and having a blast, it's easy to tow and quick to load up.  Ordered up a ton of parts, started working on rear tinted windshield and cargo box first... which neither fit right since i chopped the cage so i am modifying all of it lol.  Chopped the harness bar and flipped it so it sits up higher,  added dom brace.  Ill be adding more to beef up the cage as well, this was just the start.

Painted the rear cage and added a dash bar today... few more braces to add then the cage will be complete.  Kind of annoying the teryx cage uses non standard tubing, so i cannot use regular tube clamps.  I am strategically placing the tubes so it should all still be removable, it just might be front half and rear half instead of multiple pieces.

Engage hover teryx.  Started to pull suspension out for new parts... removed front sway bar for better crawling ability... playing with shocks now.  If i can't modify mounts and use stock foxes I'll be upgrading... currently losing out on some travel which would really help with stability on the rocks.

Finally starting back on it... portals are here, fairly involved install so will take a few days.

Portals?!?

15% gear reduction, 4" lift portals.  With 32 inch tires i will be back to factory 'gearing' with stock cvt clutch.  Shouldn't loose too much top speed, not a big deal as I don't go over 40 really.  Between tires and portals i am gaining 5 inches of ground clearance, however it is also going to be 6 inches wider overall so that should offset the lift (4" portal width and new beadlocks have an extra inch of backspace).  Should be sitting around 21 inches of clearance on a flat belly.

Passenger side rear almost complete, other side should go quicker, then the front which is a bit more complex.  Bummed my torque wrench broke, the handle no longer holds the batteries in so I'm at a stand still on the beadlocks right now.  May try to run to lowes later and grab another.

Plugging away at it.  Got an overall width of just under 78 inches right now.  It's also currently over 7ft tall lol.  Got drivers side almost done, still have to put together two more beadlocks though.
