Love it!  We?re twinning now!  Jk, you only wished your Jeep looked as hardcore as mine!  [laugh]

Looking good bro!

Guys, a wheeling bud of mine was in a really bad accident. Buggy rolled and engulfed in flames. He is currently in the ICU being treated for burns, and had his first treatments today.

Over the weekend, I spent countless hours thinking of everything that could go wrong. In this case, several fire extinguishers could not have stopped the fire.. really nothing could. It sucks so bad, almost want to give it up.

Great all around guy and his wife is such a great person as well.

I hate this

Has anyone run separate fuel pump or starter switch for a 04-06 TJ? I cannot find anything on which wire I need to tap (color)

Everything I?ve found is incorrect color

Are you looking to bypass the existing switch/relays, or looking for a kill switch in case of emergency?

If it's the latter, why not go the master cutoff switch route?  I think that'd be much easier to wire in, and safer overall.

I?d like a master kill, but would like fuel pump to be manual, so Two switches to start (not including starter)

Not nitpicking, just trying to understand the thought process, but what benefit would the additional switch provide (I think drag cars tend to be wired as you've described, so I'm trying to understand the mindset.)

I think the easiest method for wiring in such a switch is going to be too tap in near the relay under the hood.  Killing power to the coil side of that relay (or adding another relay just after it and killing power to that) will do the trick and keep you from burning up switches in the process.

Got out to the cove this past weekend with the wife and some friend. Put 60+ miles on the rig and had zero issues! Only used the winch to help others. JL on 38 pats broke the steering knuckle off at the ball joint. Used my pig as the winch block to lift her up.

Maintenance the next few weeks on the rig and trailer.

Going to Kairos at the end of the month and then little break till my buddy Jeff?s benefit weekend at the cove.

Figured it was time for some sort of update.

Jeeps been working well and other then a few broken parts, it?s holding up better than I expected.  I have finally gotten the hang of my rig with the sticky tires and control of my skinny pedal.

Going to have Martin Metal Craft in Roanoke build me a new cage this fall and going to build real Boatsides. The plan is to start building a LS 6 liter to match up with my TH400 I just picked up. That will be a really slow build, and not in any hurry to get that in.

May throw in one Potts camping trip with the crew and possibly hit Harlan, but kinda done for the year. 10 trips, 9 of which with the axle swap has me ready to take a bit of a break.

Will post updates of cage, boatsides and motor swap when I get working on it.

Andrews cage looks great. Let me know when you?re coming this way and I will run up to have lunch with you / check out the shop.

Will do, Adam is a good friend of mine. Did the front tube work on mine.

Harlan was great, made it out alive. One roll over but no damage. Had some fuel pump issues but that?s about it.

Cutting season and upgrades!

New cage
Tube boat sides
General maintenance
Outboard rear coil overs a bit more on axle side
Maybe 6.0 swap
