Just another LJ build

Compass mirror temp sensor is in. I skipped the 10mm bolt that was terrible to remove and impossible to restart. I put it in place and zip ties it in.

Rear view mirror pics tomorrow.

What's the story with the control arm bushings?
Got a few Johnny Joints clattering so I am swapping them out to Metal Cloaks. Just trying to finish up the orange LJ before I tear into it.

Ha. And here I am really wanting to switch my metal cloak bushing to JJs.

Grass is always greener! I prefer the simpler low maintenance design of the Metal Cloaks.

I just don?t think the MC joints are up to the task of centering the axle once you remove a link. The material just has a little too much give. I?d like to try something tighter just to see if it removes a little of what I perceive to be axle wander.

I?ve got 5 plus years of hard wheeling on my JJ?s... my anti rock heims give me more grief with noises though.  [member=223]mrblaine[/member] didn?t have great things to say about the metal cloak joints when I worked at his house, but that?s an old bag to beat!

Mine are creaking pretty good , and the metal cloak joints are sitting on the bench ready to go in. The store however has different ideas , so no wrenching for me for a while . Especially since [member=219]Rucas[/member] abandoned me and went West.

Don?t even start! I tried like hell to stay but NOOOOOOO. As punishment you are stuck with Pearl until I get back to finish the 6 speed swap 😀

Have you rebuilt them??

I havent , and with the MC's sitting on the counter I probably wont. I really like the MC's in the Cherokee and Ruffy.

The long arms on poopon are MC and I have to say, fairly impressed with them right out of the box.

Any plans for those old joints, because I could certainly use a few...

It?s just the ball and urethane, I reuse the housing. If you?re interested I have a bunch of those already out and ready to go.

I drove the Unicorn to work this afternoon and then to get a haircut. I plan on driving this more in the near future , it?s sits way too much.
