I am back in the Jeep game. I said I was going to keep being a responsible adult and not buy one.

Oops.

A lot of my time the last few years was working a few jobs and building a commercial coffee roaster. I can post pics of anyone here likes coffee.

Link to my last build (skipping the yj I didn't do much with) https://www.jeep-owner.com/index.php?topic=224.0

Sorry for the blurry pics on the original post. I'll get my camera out later.

Plans.
-Remove warn bumpers, go back to stock chopped.
-Replace Pro comp lift with something lower &  control arms back to stock for now (unless I find a good deal on Currie arms), Mc or Currie track bar.
-Keep the 2.5L running for now until I get there 5.2L from my dad's garage (I have the 5.2L, ax15 to 5.2 bellhousing, wiring, ecu).

-Figure out what the good awful noise is coming from the driveline under load 20-40mph
-leaky heater core (I can pull the dash in about 45 mins at a normal pace)
-better seats some day

-front cage
-tummy tuck
-corners, gts, engine skid
-hood louvers

Single stage backyard paint?

Not sure yet what else or the order. Still working a lot, but not as many jobs these days

*Also sorry. I have a super cheap phone atm and it's very hard to get good pics with it

There's really not much thread engagement here.

Also pulled the bumpers off tonight after work.

I think different studs are in your future. And welcome back!

Thanks! This Jeep should actually be here to stay. The floor boards have some surface rust, but the underside is so clean.

Yeah that's what it's looking like if I want to use those wheels. They were free, so it's not an awful price. I'm selling the 33's that came in the Jeep which should fund some new tires.

Plan for now is JK springs and maybe a spacer, mc track bar, stock arms, & 31s.

If I do studs, the front will likely get new wheel bearings.

Dist cap & rotor, plugs, wires, & valve cover gasket are in the mail.

Measured the studs today on my short lunch. Seem to be about 1" if that. I think stock studs are longer. I'll them to the list.

I'm back and forth on 30s vs 31s when I drop down in lift.

Eventually I want the 5.2L in it, but I don't want this thing to be horrible with the 31s until then.

31's arent terrible with less gears until you hit the mountains. How long til the 5.2 swap?

Yeah, I was thinking the same. I was also spoiled with the 4.6l in the last TJ.

A little while. I have the bellhousing here, but need to ship the engine, ecu, etc down from Chicago. I have a friend that's getting stuff shipped for his business that I can put my stuff in with at some point.

Right now I want to get the suspension right and everything working and driving right.

My hope is the 2.5 can make in another year so I can build the Jeep some and get all the 5.2l stuff ready.

Selling the bumpers and wheels+tires & there's still a little left after the metalcloak stuff and tires on the way:

Oil looks like someone put in 6 quarts and not 4...

Anyways, cap, rotor, coil, and oil change today. Plugs and wires come in on Monday.

Tires came in today. Still need to deal with wheel studs send get the wheels cleaned up.

Jk springs going in soon.
