So its been just over two years since we bought the store and it is humming right along now. We are up 121%  over last year and there's no signs of it slowing down . We are adding a building on the side to move lawn and garden too and this will allow us to double our nuts and bolts and double plumbing. It will also allow more area for grilling which has been a surprisingly good category for us .

All of that leads me to the next announcement. We are under a non disclosure again as we are in the process of buying store number two . Its a similar situation to what we originally bought. I think we can double the sales in one year and it is a profitable store already. So wish us luck on this next adventure if you dont mind!

We broke ground on our lawn and garden addition today and there might just be some mega news on Thursday.

Gravel is compacted and the rebar is getting wired up. We are pouring this afternoon and it gets a blanket to keep it warm overnight for the next few days.

And to think I just had a customer ask me if they should cover the slab they are pouring today. High of 35? today, high teens overnight and we had an inch of snow yesterday.

Wat? No blankets?

We bought ( I think because they cashed the deposit) another Hardware store in Danville VA! It is currently a True Value and we will be remodeling and converting it to Ace. I say I think because the owner who is 84 has good and bad days but I believe it will go through in early February.
Our goal is to have all of the work and remodeling completed by June.

So how many is another?
This is store number two and I am working on acquiring the real estate for location number three. This should be it , but who knows what opportunities may present themselves.
