Looks good justin, these are the one I wish I would have went with or something similiar, https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/tail-lights/41-04-050-poison-spyder-universal-tail-light-4in , but if you wanna spring for the ORO or maxbilt lights, they do look good.
I would look for something from Grote or Truck lite.
Save your money and buy the stuff from the guys that invented GOOD lights.

I went this weekend and picked up a pair of 05+ SD axles to hopefully join the 1 ton crowd. They were about 10 miles from my house so I though WTH.

Holy F&@% these are heavy.

I somehow managed to not die when I was removing them from the bed of my truck so that's a plus.

I started stripping them down last night. I'll try and build some rolling axle stands this week at work and they will probably live there for a year or so while I hoard parts.

They came with The Artec Simple swap kits for a TJ as well which I was planning on getting anyways if I ran these axles.

Nice score with the trusses included.

Stripping the front 05 SD axle was one of my least fond memories of Jeeping. If I was building another Jeep on tons I would do a earlier model SD axle with 35 spline outers.

😱  😱  😱

Man its been over 2 years since I updated this thread. Life has been insane with not much wheelin' happening. Looks like there are still some familiar names here so cheers to that! Hope everyone is doing great and that 2021 is the year for me to get back in the saddle now that my son is 4. Looks like some of my pictures are broken in this thread also so sorry for that. I'll try and bring this thread up to date based on where I left off.

I still have the 05+ SD axles and have been slowly stashing money and parts back in hopes that one day I'll get to join the 1 ton crowd I usually wheel with.

I did made some trick axle stands to assist in moving those monsters around...

The General Grabbers I had on it served me OK but they were getting low on tread and needed replacing. I ended up picking up a set of 35" Pats and some Vision wheels.

They don't let me out much.

I guess not!  Man I missed your fab!  You may find a PM from dare a say years ago looking for some more side vents for PSC fenders and possibly some of those fancy wrenches you made.  If you have anymore of either.

I had a set of 35 pats on my last LJ and loved the crap out of them!  How are you liking yours so far?

I'll look back and see.

As for the Pats there AWESOME!

Sometime back in late 2018 ish I made a low pro rear bumper from 1/4" HRPO. This thing is bullet proof!

I really like the Savvy tub rails and wanted to take a stab at making a set. I didn't wrap mine around the corner due to the limited tooling I had access to but I think they turned out OK. There made from 11ga 304 sst (roughly 1/8") and held to the tub using some SST carriage bolts.

In the past year everyone in my club has made the switch to GMRS. I decided to ditch my CB altogether and ended up purchasing a Btech UV-25x2 mobile radio. Again I had to fab up a bracket to mount the antenna to my existing armor. I've only used it once and still haven't tuned it but reception was 10x better than that of a CB.

In the past I had my CB mounted to an overhead rack due to the size of the radio body. With this unit being much smaller I made these simple mounting brackets to place the radio in the coin tray. I also needed a place to store my Mic as it was once stored on the overhead rack also. I looked around and found some brackets that mount behind the grab bar.  Eventually I'll be swapping to a double din radio and when I do I wanted to move my cell phone ram mount over to the grab bar also since the plastic bezel is a little shaky. I took the two ideas and combined them and made some brackets for a ram ball & whatever else you need.

I think that about wraps up all of the fab projects I've done lately. I'm sure there have been some simple bolt on parts here and there but my main priority has been stashing cash for the 1 ton swap. Those things aren't cheap. I'll try my best to keep this thread updated and I'll bet on here more often that recent months.
