Been given the go-ahead to roll Tuesday night if needed as meet point is a ways off. Where is Tuesday camp? I have pass to camp Wednesday too.

Tuesday camp will be at Larurel Creek for camping at Blue Ridge Roadside Campsite (35.308069, -82.908282).

Last night we camped at Holly Creek Campsite, Broken Bow, OK (34.277672, -94.68602). We arrived around 0030 and set up in the dark and awoke to the lake. Mia loved running around. Left around 0800 today for Nashville, TN.

Stopped at Central BBQ in Memphis for lunch. Food was pretty good, but nothing special. Then we met up with [member=79]The_Eng[/member] for dinner in Nashville. It was cool getting to meet up in person after ordering Jeep parts over the phone so many times.

Cell reception has been almost non existant out here. Thanks to Tim we checked out the Nemo Tunnel 24, an old train tunnel that is full of water.  We camped out at an awesome horse camp last night, Roundbottom. Woke up to 31?

Would upload pictures,  but we have just enough signal for text. Headed to Anshville for lunch later this afternoon.

What time is meet up Wed morning?

[member=35]Cervesadiablo[/member]? would doing 288, hit Buzzard's Roost, then go up Hurricane Creek be doable in a day (and still drive 3 hours back home)? I've never been to Buzzard's Roost and would like to go. If it's a reasonable loop that is.  :D

We're camping an hour from the rest stop, so ideally meet around 0900/0930 to head out from the rest stop to Hurricane.

If you are not camping the best loop would be up hurricane creek ,left to max patch and then if my map is right back track to 288 and down it back to I 40 go across at the bridge and up to buzzard's roost then back to 40 to head home. Yes very doable.
If you zoom in on Google maps  you can find the roost.
12 miles 50 minutes from max patch to buzzard's roost via 288

Texas Tj if we roll with your route we can resupply at Hot springs NC. One store kind of town and it is more conveniece store. But will have ice and firewood.

Which day would that be?

I was talking Wednesday night in case you wanted to keep your original route. I will be at the Wednesday meet up point on I40 at nine am. I can camp Wednesday night . [member=1]badmonkey[/member]  are you camping Wednesday? Going to be a cold one.

My plan is drive to meet you guys, tour, then return home. I'd love to camp, but there's a lot happening at work.

That said, I could be talked into camping tomorrow night. I'd have to make a decision tonight though! Where are you camping?

Just got down from Table Rock. Headed to camp at Camp at Wilson Creek Area (35.917711, -81.811521)

If you get  this take the road to the first split. there are many campsites to the left on the split . at the end of that road is a trial that leads to a water fall.

Take the dirt roads from there to old house gap rd  , it will look like a goat trail but is a real road

Thanks man. Guess I will pass on camping. It would be necessary to leave the camper somwhere, which would add funkiness to the return home. You and I could still meet around Morganton for the I40 segment if you want.

Just got signal for a minute. We actually couldn't find our campsite last night. The coordinates ended up stopping at the beginning of a gravel road, so we just drove until we found a spot.
We're 1.5hrs from Looking Glass Falls. We're going to skip LG rock and then hit Devil's Courthouse. Camp at 35.308069, -82.908282).
