The Blurple XJ build .

Best I got [member=153]1989comanche[/member]. They?re just thru-drilled and welded to the top of the sliders. Pretty similar to how most shops make them

After she graduates she?s planning on going west to explore and work for a little while. Most likely the Durango / Cortez/ Blanding area as I have friends who need help at their stores there.

Sounds like a solid plan... not sure if that counts as desert though...

Southern Utah and Southwestern Colorado are dry climates and the folks there call it a desert environment?

On a different note, there?s parts coming for Blurpie.

Hannah helped tighten up the serpentine belt and installed new struts as well today.

Working on a no start issue on Hannah?s Cherokee. She helped pull the tank and chased all the threads on the bolts. The scissor jack under the work table made for a less back breaking drop and reinstall of the tank!

Another 5k miles. This kid is always rolling somewhere. Hannah changed her oil , checked the fluids and rotated her tires.

Most likely getting a new engine in the spring along with a tranny and t case rebuild in
anticipation of her Senior summer Western adventure.

Well the time has come to update this thread. A few of you know, but a while back Hannah got into a minor (for the jeep, anyways) accident in Blurpie. She now has a TJ to drive as a replacement. Greg called me one day and asked if we would be interested in Blurp and I jumped at the opportunity. So while it?s leaving the Beasley family, it really isn?t.  Couldn?t be more ecstatic have such a unique Jeep that I put a ton of work into. Mom will have this with her back in Raleigh but I fully intend to keep up on the build thread as we make it her own.

Before I took Blurp back with me to Mooresville we got some last pictures with Hannah before she left for her senior prom:

Pretty sure you called me ?

Kimbo and Hannah are both still very on the fence about it leaving but it?s going to a good home so they are sort of ok now.
