Bump.

Got a couple bare metal stage 2 bumpers that need to go to a new home.  Welds have been ground smooth on the sides.

Do you have any of the new/improved fairlead mounts?

They're still stuck in proto mode because the one I sent out to be tested is still sitting on a shelf..  I have one that could be sent out to a willing participant who is going to put it through its paces.

EDIT* Are you experiencing a problem with yours?

I didn't name any names for the record!

Are you having a problem with yours?

I am hoping to get a little feedback from [member=236]98 tj sport[/member] on his Christmas bumper.

I haven't put it in a situation yet, but I do notice it bends pretty easy when I suck some tension on the cable to keep my D-ring from rattling.

Ok.  Yeah it is kind of an industry standard style if you will.  We've sold a whole bunch of them and I gather that for most of the population they will operate as they are expected.  Rob had some goofy side pull and bent that one all to heck, which brought up a need for some strength, and also allowed us to address the need for a fairlead mount for our aluminum bumpers*.

*The upgraded fairlead mount has a matching bottom plate that essentially sandwichs the aluminum.  I had fear of the bolts pulling out of the aluminum, so basically it would have to rip the entire top off the bumper taking the winch with it..

Haven't had a warm enough day that I wasn't slammed to get it painted and put on. I did think about welding some kind of gusset on the back to help keep it from bending under load since it's just the single bend with no support.

Upgraded fairlead mount installed. And tested. I was not able to see it in action because of the precarious position I was in...
The new fairlead mount was a little close to my winch. Some quick grinder action and all was good.

Thanks [member=205]Hard Line Rob[/member] How did the aluminum fare against big moab rocks?
I certainly bashed it a couple times... I?ll have to take pictures tomorrow of the scuff marks👊🏻

My partner had one at the shop with a RC8000 winch or something mounted to it, and I could get almost two fingers between the place and the soleniod.  You must be big.

[member=121]Jjeeper09[/member] There are a couple options for you in this thread.  Here are some additional aluminum pics also.
